Adobe Photoshop is the leading digital image editing software which was developed by Adobe Systems. It was first released in 1989 to display grayscale images on a monochrome display. Today, the program is used worldwide by professional and amateur photographers, print designers, visual communicators, and even ordinary people like you who wish to enhance their pictures, posters, magazines, and any other digital image media.
Adobe is currently on it's 13th major release and it comes in two major version, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Photoshop Extended. The difference between the regular version and extended version is the 3D image rendering tool, motion graphics editing, and advanced image analysis features. Adobe Photoshop is available for both Mac and PC.

Another popular app recently launched by Adobe Systems in the past year is Photoshop Touch. The program can be downloaded at the iTunes store for only $9.99 and it has several features similar to Photoshop that one can use on their iPad or iPhone such as:

Another neat feature about the app is the access to the Adobe Creative Cloud capabilities allowing the user to save their file on their account without keeping the large image files on their device.
Plug-Ins
